Now, on to the bump update (I feel like I ballooned out this week... probably wasn't drinking enough water today when I took this picture):
How far along? 12 weeks!!
Total weight gain/loss: I've gained 3 lbs since my last appointment.
Maternity clothes? Okay. I'll fess up... I purchased my first pair of maternity dress pants this weekend. I can still squeeze into my normal dress pants, but by the end of the day, they waist band is digging into my bloaty muffin top. So, I bit the bullet and bought one pair. I plan to try them out tomorrow.
Stretch marks? No
Symptoms: Tired! I also wake up to pee at least once a night, and it can be hard for me to fall back to sleep after I've made the trek to the bathroom.
Sleep: Can't seem to sleep in past 7:30am, but I am conked out by 9pm each night.
Best moment this week: THE HEARTBEAT! Sometimes I think I dreamed it. Also, we bought our first baby-related item: A leather glider recliner! We aren't fans of your traditional nursery/baby glider, so we picked up this bad boy at Costco this weekend-
It's like sitting on a gliding/rocking cloud! |
Have you told family and friends: I got outed at happy hour on Friday. I had quietly ordered a virgin margarita, but when the waitress came by, she announced my drink rather loudly. My coworkers picked up on it right away. I think we'll actually make our big announcement after this upcoming weekend.
Miss Anything? Energy.
Movement: Just gas (though sometimes I pretend it's the baby)
Food cravings: Cold foods (Pasta salad, fruit, juice), PB&J with potato chips
Anything making you queasy or sick: Some meats, the idea of a burger makes me gaggy.
Have you started to show yet: My bloat is getting out of control. I can feel my uterus starting to stick out from behind my pubic bone though!
Baby is a: ??
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, and mildly moody.
Looking forward to: Telling our friends at the Scandia house this weekend, letting my parents spill the beans, seeing the ultrasound on 1/31.
